A lovely place to hang out in the beautiful Surrey countryside is the area of Dorking, specifically Box Hill, which is home to the famous Ryka’s Café in Mickleham. It is a landmark by itself and is a favourite haunt with bikers, who frequent the area to take a breather after a long and tiring ride. The area has been popular with bikers since the 1920s.
Ryka’s offers a terrific menu that includes its famous burgers, creamy milkshakes and of course their infamous crispy chips. Drop in here at any part of the week and you will see bikes galore, from the classic to the contemporary! Ryka’s Cafe has been a meeting venue for a variety of groups through the years. From bikers to cyclists, car enthusiasts to motor clubs the place has hosted a diverse array of events. Of course it is predominantly a biker haven, testimony of which is the large number of bikers to be seen in the area. It is extremely popular with women bikers as well, who make it a point to visit the place on their trip to the area.
As biking is gaining in popularity among more women, Ryka’s Cafe is doing its bit to promote the love for biking among them, by selling the newly launched women on wheels magazine at the cafe. Even if you do not have a bike visitors are welcome to hang out with those who do at Ryka’s Car Park, which is a great meeting point on the weekends. Bike nights are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the summer months because of the perfect location of the Ryka’s Café, the wealthy car park and outdoor seating place means it is ideal.

THE FOOD STOP CAFE Quatford,Bridgnorth
Highly recommended by bikers from across the UK, The Food Stop Cafe is the place you need to be visiting on your next ride out!
Situated in Quatford, The Food Stop Cafe is on the A442 between Bridgnorth and Kidderminister, it really makes for a great pit stop whilst you’re on your Sunday ride out with pals or a meeting point for your Wednesday night ride. With a large car park, you’ll have no problem in finding a space to park before heading in for some treats.
It’s a proper good, old fashioned roadside cafe serving up a wide selection of food from a full-on breakfast to snacks. Proper portions sold at a great price but still with great quality, whatever you’re after you’ll be able to find it at The Food Stop Cafe. All meals are served with a friendly smile from the staff who are happy to stop and chat, if you like. Sunday’s you’ll normally find lots of bikes parked up outside the cafe but it’s also popular with walkers and cyclists too.
MANOR CAFE Bellerby, Leyburn, North Yorkshire
Situated in the picturesque courtyard for the Manor Farm in the small village of Bellerby in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales; Manor Café is the perfect pit stop for both locals and tourists who are enjoying the surrounding roads but are after a cuppa tea and some great company.
Manor Café is run and owned by a biker family who know their stuff when it comes to serving up proper biker grub and an excellent brew. There’s secure parking for your bike with seating both inside and outside the café, dependent on the weather.
Not only that, Manor Café host regular biker meets and events within the local community and with late night bike nights held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings so there’s plenty of fun to be hadThe Manor Café are also big followers of all the road racing sports so it’s your go-to place to watch live footage from the BSB to the TT.
Not riding? There’s a licensed bar located in the same courtyard of the Manor Farm which serves alcohol and also a garage for all your biking needs.
